The yarn is the house's own: 70% cashmere, 30% silk, developed to Georgina Brandolini's specifications and exclusive to the brand. Everything that follows depends on it. Because the silk stabilises the fibre, the yarn can be knitted at a very fine gauge: fine enough for a full-length dress to weigh almost nothing, fine enough for drop-needle openwork to read as deliberate transparency rather than as a gap in the knit. It carries a natural stretch of 10 to 15%, so it follows the body and returns to shape, and it wears in rather than out, the handle settling over the first season and staying there.
